I've told you before that being healthy is easy, right? It just takes the motivation to change our bad habits into good, healthy ones.
Now I'll give you 9 simple but useful tips to start living your healthy lifestyle.
1. Drink a glass of water every morning
If you haven’t got time for anything else in the morning, make time to drink a glass of water. We lose a lot of oxygen through the night and to restore our cells so we need to supply them with water and oxygen. Drink a glass of water and within a week you’ll begin to feel less tired.
2. Eat fruits and vegetables
3. Exercise everyday
Choose walking over transport for close distances. Climb the stairs instead of taking the lift. Get your blood flowing and your muscles moving.
4. Get enough sleep
Getting enough sleep is very important for our health. Sleep combats some of the fallout of stress, and poor sleep can makes you have greater risk of depression, increased risk of heart disease and cancer, reduced immune system functioning and weight gain.
5. Say yes to fresh juice
It’s a quick way to get fiber, vitamins, and nutrients. Simply throw your favorite fruits into the blender, wait for 30 seconds, and it’s done! And it tastes great. It can make your skin feel younger and healthier because it contains a lot of antioxidants.
6. Cut out soda and caffeine
Drinking soda and caffeine don't contribute to your 8 glasses of water/day requirement – they actually take away from it! Soda is unhealthy, causes weight gain, is an artificial stimulant, among other reasons. Leave your soda and go for mineral water or fresh fruit juices instead!
7. Stop smoking
Smoking is very bad for our health. It can damage our body, lungs, and many more.Smoking directly causes over 100,000 deaths in the UK each year and contributes to many more. Cigarettes contain more than 4000 chemical compounds and at least 400 toxic substances. Research has shown that smoking reduces life expectancy by seven to eight years. Non-smokers and ex-smokers can also look forward to a healthier old age than smokers.
8. Deep breathing.
When you’ve got time – studying Geography, cooking food, sitting in car – do some deep breathing. Inhale and count up to 5 seconds, hold it for a few seconds, and release slowly. Exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide is one of the best things we can do for our blood and cells.
9. Laughter is the best medicine
Become a optimist person! Studies have found that those with a positive attitude suffer less from conditions such as heart disease. Find something to laugh at every day to give your feel-good hormones a boost.
So, are you ready to have a healthy live? :D
