The first reason a healthy lifestyle is important is to remain as free of disease and illness as possible and to have as long a life expectancy as you possibly can.  The second reason is that it makes life more enjoyable.  When you are fit and healthy you have much more energy and a much better outlook on life without having to worry about health problems. You have a better control over your life. For healthy living, you have to be discipline. You have to eat nutritious food and exercise regularly. Stay away from unhealthy habits like smoking and heavy drinking. You will be able to perform to the best of your ability too. Besides, when you are fit, it gets reflected on your face.
